Relate for Young People
Counselling offered for children and teenagers who may be feeling lonely, confused,
anxious or angry because their parents are in conflict. Children and young people
between 10 & 25 can be seen on their own or with a member of their family
to talk about issues affecting their lives. We see self referrals and children
referred by recognised statutory organisations.
The first appointment provides an opportunity to talk through how Relate might
be able to help and if appropriate the counsellor will recommend further counselling.
Young people meeting a counsellor could discuss:
• Conflict within the family
•
Verbal or physical abuse
•
The impact of separation and divorce within their family network.
•
Dealing with problems involving stepparents/siblings
What does it cost?
Costs are around £40 per session but may vary between counsellors.
